OC Comm Alum Kyle Roberts continues to grow in his filmmaking career

Roberts has received numerous awards for his work.


Kyle Roberts, a highly successful OC alumnus, specializes in filmmaking in Oklahoma City. He is a two-time Emmy award winner, and directed the award-winning film “The Inhuman Project.” He continues to gain recognition for his stop-motion animation work at his company Reckless Abandonment Films. 

“The Inhuman Project” is a coming-of-age teen superhero film in which superpowers are used as a metaphor for adolescence. Robert’s film won 14 awards, and it had the largest grossing opening weekend ever for an independent film at AMC Quail Springs. 

Roberts worked at NewsOK.com for seven years where he produced a local music show 'Static'. After obtaining millions of views on Roberts’ personal YouTube channel, he was selected to compete on Syfy's first season of “Viral Video Showdown.”
