Oklahoma Christian University is carefully and excitedly hosting its annual Fall Chamber Orchestra Concert Nov. 12. Although it may look different this year, organizers for the event and the participating students are ready to take the stage. The concert had to be rescheduled after the previously scheduled October performance was cancelled due to an ice storm.

Alumna and adjunct music professor Gena Alexander will direct the concert.

OC student and Band Council President Spencer Banister appreciates the work music faculty and staff have done to host concerts this semester during the challenges of COVID-19.

“Many schools around the country aren’t able to have a full band this semester,” Banister said. “Our faculty, administration and students have all worked incredibly hard to find ways to have safe rehearsals and performances.”

The Fall Chamber Orchestra Concert will be in Judd Theater at 7 p.m. The concert is not open to the general public, but it is open to OC students and employees.
